			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>[The Australian]&#8211;  China Iron and Steel Association wants to set a  China-specific price for iron ore that will not follow prices that other Asian  steelmakers agree on with global mining giants, the association&#8217;s top negotiator  for iron ore negotiations said Tuesday.</p>
<p>Iron ore contracts with overseas miners and the country&#8217;s steel producers should  begin January 1, and CISA will lead the 2010 talks, CISA Chairman Deng Qilin  said.</p>
<p>Deng said he expects iron ore to stay at a fair and reasonable  price.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>[The Jakarta Post]&#8211;  Russia and China signed agreements worth $3.5 billion Tuesday, but the former  rivals-turned-strategic partners were still working on an energy deal, a top  Russian official said.</p>
<p>The deals were signed during a visit by Prime  Minister Vladimir Putin to bolster energy, political and military  ties.</p>
<p>Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov told reporters that  Russian and Chinese businessmen and officials signed the agreements, including  $500 million loans each from the China Development Bank to its Russian  equivalent VEB, and from the Agricultural Bank of China to the state-controlled  VTB bank.</p>

<p>It means Mr Obama will become the first president not to  welcome the Nobel peace prize winner to the White House since the Dalai Lama  began visiting Washington in 1991.</p>
<p>The Buddhist monk arrived in Washington on Monday for a week of meetings with  Congressional leaders, celebrity supporters and interest groups, but the  president will not see him until after he has made his first visit to China next  month.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>[RIA Novosti]&#8211;  The Indonesian Navy is planning to arm its new patrol boats with Russian and  Chinese missiles, the Antara national news agency reported on Tuesday.</p>
<p>&#8220;We will gradually increase the number of patrol boats and arm them with  Russian and Chinese manufactured missiles,&#8221; the agency quoted Navy Commander  Adm. Tedjo Edhy Purdijatno as saying.</p>
